It wasn’t hard to find a burglary suspect who crawled inside a vehicle’s open window at the Hard Rock Casino parking garage, a detective said.

An employee reported seeing a man in an orange hooded sweatshirt climb through the window and climb out with a red purse on Monday, Biloxi Police Major Christopher De Back said.

Police soon found Christopher Michael Barhonovich, 46, nearby wearing an orange sweatshirt and toting a red purse, De Back said.

Barhonovich also pilfered through the vehicle’s glove compartment and center console before he fled on foot, De Back said.

Police arrested the Biloxi resident on charges of burglary and public drunk.

Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set Barhonovich’s bond at $25,000.

Barhonovich, convicted of felony shoplifting from a 2010 arrest, has been convicted of public drunk 10 times since October 2011, the Harrison County jail docket shows.

This is his 14th time to be held at the county jail since then.

He’s also been convicted of spice possession three times and on numerous other misdemeanors to include trespassing and contempt of court.

Barhonovich remained in custody Tuesday.
