10 LSU students arrested after hazing-related death of teen fraternity pledge

Ten people were arrested Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, on hazing charges in the death of a Louisiana State University fraternity pledge whose blood-alcohol content level was more than six times the legal limit for driving, officials said.

Arrests warrants have been issued for 10 LSU students who were members of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity in connection with the death of 18-year-old pledge Maxwell Gruver, according to LSU officials.

Here are the 10 students and the counts they will be booked on:

    • Matthew Alexander Naquin, one count of hazing and one count of negligent homicide(hazing -- a misdemeanor -- and negligent homicide -- a felony)
    • Zachary Castillo, one count of hazing
    • Elliott Eaton, one count of hazing
    • Patrick Forde, one count of hazing
    • Sean Paul Gott, one count of hazing
    • Zachary Hall, one count of hazing
    • Ryan Isto, one count of hazing
    • Hudson Kirkpatrick, one count of hazing
    • Sean Pennison, one count of hazing
    • Nicholas Taulli, one count of hazing
