A man arrested on a charge of driving under the influence early Wednesday has been convicted of driving impaired three times, police said.
Eddie Benard Fry, 46, also was wanted on an outstanding warrant on a charge of felony DUI 4th offense, Gulfport Police Sgt. Joshua Bromen said.
Officers pulled him over on a traffic violation 2:08 a.m. Wednesday at 34th Avenue and 33rd Street and determined he was driving impaired, Bromen said.
Police arrested Fry on the outstanding warrant and on a new felony DUI charge.
Fry was being held at the Harrison County jail on a $100,000 bond set by Municipal Court Judge Kirk Clark.
Police also arrested Fry on charges of improper lane change, no driver’s license, no proof of insurance and intimidating/impeding/obstructing officers or witnesses.
