A Gulf Coast man has been arrested after police say he made threats on social media related to the mass shooting in Las Vegas.
AL.com reports that Joel Logan Gilliam, 23, was arrested Monday by deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. According to the Baldwin County jail docket, Gilliam was arrested on a felony charge of making terrorist threats. The threats made direct reference to the Sunday night shooting in Las Vegas that left 58 people dead and almost 500 wounded.
Gilliam was arrested at his home on the 300 block of West Railroad Street in Bay Minette. Al.com reports no weapons were found in the home. He told police he made the threats because he was “bored.”
Gilliam posted on his Facebook page that the threatening posts were a “joke.”
His bond has not set.
