Police arrested a 31-year-old Biloxi resident Sunday on a felony DUI charge after learning that he has multiple driving-under-the-influence convictions in Florida, investigator Matt DeDual said.
DeDual said Jeffrey Emile Ramsey Jr., 31, of Biloxi ran his Lexus into a parked car at Food Giant grocery, which is across the street from the Police Department on Porter Avenue.
Officers were watching, a news release from the department says. They pursued and arrested Ramsey, who fled after running into the car, the news release says.
Nobody was injured in the crash.

DeDual said Ramsey has been charged more than four times in Florida with DUIs. A DUI is a felony in Mississippi after two convictions.
DeDual said he is still awaiting a full report on Ramsey’s Florida arrest record and did not yet have the dates on previous charges and convictions. Ramsey had an outstanding arrest warrant on one DUI charge when he hit the parked car, the news release says.
Police also charged Ramsey with leaving an accident scene, disregard for a traffic device and driving with a suspended license. Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set Ramsey’s bond at $50,000.
