Hancock County Sherrif’s Office Chief Investigator Glenn Grannan said a man was shot three times after an argument Friday night in the Kiln.
Bo Blanchard, 27, was arrested after the shooting on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Blanchard bonded out of the Hancock County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
Grannan said the shooting happened about 11 p.m. Friday on Nathan Neciase Road in Kiln. The shooting happened in the back yard of a residence after a verbal argument, he said.
“There was a disagreement and Bo Blanchard pulled out a 380 pistol and started shooting,” Grannan said. “The victim was shot once in the head, in the neck and in the groin and he was in pretty bad shape when he left.”

A witness to the event said that Blanchard shot Jeremy Carroll because Carroll was “trying to kill his girlfriend by dragging her to a pond to drown her.”
Grannan said the shooting is still under investigation.
“That’s the story we got from the witnesses, that Jeremy Carroll was using illegal drugs and became violent and he was shot to keep him from killing his girlfriend,” Grannan said. “But all of the facts don’t really line up and we are still investigating it.”
Grannan said Carroll was airlifted to a hospital in New Orleans and he was in serious condition.
