The Hancock County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that occurred about 11 p.m. Friday on Nathan Necaise Road in Kiln.
Hancock County Sheriff's Chief Investigator Glenn Grannan said Saturday that the shooting reported at about 11 p.m. Friday.
Apparently, Grannan said, two men had gotten into a verbal argument in the back yard of the residence. The names of two men have yet to be released.
The suspect then went to his vehicle, retrieved a pistol and fired several shots at the other man.

"The victim was shot at least three times, maybe more," Grannan said. "He was air-lifted to a hospital in Louisiana and he is in serious condition."
The shooter apparently surrendered to deputies once they arrived at the residence.
Grannan said deputies are currently interviewing witnesses and processing the scene.
He said more information will be available on Saturday.
