George County Sheriff Keith Havard said two people have been arrested for illegally giving tattoos in exchange for money.

Brian Lee Temple, 35, and Taylor Marie Kirkland, 23, were arrested by George County deputies for tattooing without a license, a violation of the State of Mississippi Health Department’s regulations.

Havard said in a news release that his office served a search warrant on a residence on Barton Agricola Road in the Barton Community. He said his office had received multiple complaints of illegal tattooing and the tattooing of minors.

Stolen property and narcotics were also found in the residence, Havard said.

Kirkland and Temple were arrested and taken to the George County jail. Havard said they have been released after posting bond.

George County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is continuing.
