One person shot near sports complex on Prudie Circle, Gulfport police say

One person was wounded in a shooting near the sports complex on Prudie Circle, a police official confirmed.

Gulfort police Sgt. Joshua Bromen said officers responded to a shooting around 7:20 p.m. Thursday in the 12000 block of Prudie Circle.

Police found one person suffering from a gunshot wound, Bromen said, and the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Bromen said the shooting occurred in the area of the Golden Sports Complex but could not yet confirm an exact location.
