A woman embezzled more than $1,000 while working for Hidden Acres Mobile Home Park in the Lyman community, police said.

Cori M. Berggren, 43, is accused of taking money from the business between February and July, Gulfport Police Sgt. Joshua Bromen said.

The management of the trailer park had contacted police with concerns over missing money, he said.

Hidden Acres is on Touriel Road off U.S. 49, east of the Lyman Community Center.

Berggren turned herself in Tuesday at the Gulfport Police Department after learning of a warrant for her arrest, Bromen said.

She was taken to the Harrison County jail and was released later Tuesday on a $2,500 bond set by Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
