He was walking around Moss Point when multiple shots were fired, police say

Moss Point police are looking for the person or persons who shot a man Friday night near the intersection of Frederick and Carroll streets.

Chief Calvin Hutchins said in a news release that police responded to reports of “several shots fired” at about 10 p.m. Friday.

Anthony Ellis, 32, of Pascagoula, was admitted to Singing River Hospital with a gunshot wound, Hutchins said, and his condition is unknown.

Hutchins said several shell casings were found at the scene.
