Two girls have told police they screamed when a man solicited them at the Walmart on U.S. 90, Police Chief Tim Hendricks said.

“He used graphic language and it scared them,” Hendricks said.

“The girls screamed, and he ran off and fled.”

The incidents, reported to police Monday, are under investigation.

The girls reported he used “graphic language in a sexual nature” when he spoke to one of them about 8:25 p.m., Hendricks said.

The man is white and appears to be in his 50s. He is about 5-foot-5, has a medium-size build and dark hair with some gray in it. He was wearing a white shirt, tan shorts, a black baseball cap, white socks and black-and-white tennis shoes.

He fled in a dark, small pickup truck with an extended cab. The truck appears to be a mid-80s to 90s model, possibly a Nissan, and looks black with faded paint, Hendricks said.

To give a tip, call the Pass Christian Police Department at 228-452-3301 and ask for Detective Mike Burkette. Or call Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-877-787-5898.

If anyone else was approached by the man, police want to hear from them.
