Gulfport prison center escapees caught
Two escapees from a Gulfport prison work center are now in custody, the state Department of Corrections said.
Zachary Savoie, 21, and Joshua Walton, 33, escaped the Harrison County Community Work Center on Sept. 11.
Both men were captured Friday in different parts of the state, MDOC said.
Savoie, 21, and Walton, 33, had both been convicted of residential burglary.
Savoie received a total of four years also for grand larceny in Pike County when he was sentenced Sept. 15, 2015.
Walton received six years in Neshoba County when he was sentenced March 15.
MDOC said more information about their capture will be released.
