D’Iberville police said a man is behind bars after a resident watched him break into a home on Lemoyne Boulevard.
Police Capt. Marty Griffin said officers went to a home in the 10000 block of Lemoyne Boulevard at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday after a report of a burglary in progress.
A resident watched a man use a pipe to break into a home, Griffin said. The resident immediately called law enforcement but the burglar left in a vehicle, Griffin said.
Griffin said the vehicle information was relayed to other law enforcement agencies, and Jackson County deputies found it near Washington Avenue.
