Long Beach woman arrested in strong-arm robbery

A Long Beach woman has been arrested in a Wednesday robbery.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said Theresa Celeste Northrup, 26, was arrested on a charge of strong-arm robbery.

Peterson said investigators responded to a robbery call that took place in the 700 block of Bell Circle in Long Beach.

“The definition of a strong-arm robbery is when a man or woman is robbed through either violence or a fear that someone will cause them physical harm,” Peterson said.

Northup was also arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of paraphernalia.

She was taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where her bond was set at $50,000 by Judge Melvin Ray.
