More than $2,600 in unauthorized purchases on a credit card has led to a man’s arrest on a fraud charge, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said.

Sebastian Eugene Linton, 24, of Shady Pine Drive had been fired in June after his employer noticed unauthorized charges on his Visa card, Ezell said.

Investigators confirmed the purchases were made online and the items were delivered to an address in Vancleave, Ezell said.

Linton was held at the Jackson County jail pending an initial court hearing.

Ezell did not identify the employer.
