Officials say a George County man is behind bars after he shot someone, Sheriff Keith Havard said.
Havard said deputies were dispatched to a residence in the Bexley community about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and discovered a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Robbie Joe Parker, 52, was taken into custody just after midnight Thursday on charges of domestic violence — aggravated assault and firing at a motor vehicle.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld, was taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition. The relationship between the victim and Parker is not being released at this time.
