A Pascagoula man died Wednesday after a motorcycle he was driving crashed into a sedan at an intersection near an Interstate 10 off-ramp, officials said.

Jackson County Chief Deputy John Ledbetter said Howard Martin, 42, was traveling southbound at about 4 a.m. on Franklin Creek Road when his Yamaha motorcycle struck a Pontiac sedan driven by Dionel Davis, 40, of Mobile at the median crossover of the I-10 off-ramp.

Ledbetter said Martin died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The Forts Lakes Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance Service also responded to the crash.
