Ocean Springs Herb and Garden Fest still a go

OCEAN SPRINGS -- The 23rd annual Herb, Garden and Arts Festival downtown is still on for Saturday and Sunday, despite the weather.

The show has a number of vendor booths that will be in the parking lot of the Depot, at the entrance to downtown and a tent with expert and specialty speakers and artists.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The schedule for the demonstration and speaker tent:

Saturday

10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Patt Odom, painting art

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Alex Perry, chef and owner of Vestige Restaurant

1 to 2 p.m. Gail Hendrickson, metal art

2 to 3 p.m. Jim DelPrince, Mississippi State University

3 to 4 p.m. Jean Sparkes, textile art

Sunday

10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Gerrol Benigno, pottery

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jackson County Master Gardners

1 to 2 p.m. Heather Rumfelt, block printing

2 to 3 p.m. Betty Sue O'Brian, herbs, nutrition and medicinal
