Gautier Garden Club presents November Beautification Award

The Gautier Garden Club has presented the November 2015 Beautification Award to Lawrence and Cheryl Hinton of 3807 Kendale Drive in Northwood Hills. Residents here for some 41 years, the couple built their home based on a favorite blueprint house plan they bought from Better Homes and Gardens. The front of the house is framed by sago palms and azaleas. Loropetalums and Indian hawthorns provide year-round color. Enclosed brick beds on either side of the mailbox are filled with red-orange heat tolerant sunpatiens and angel wing begonias. Raised bricked beds in the backyard contain both annuals and perennials. The Hintons have a variety of seasonal, year-round plants and a vegetable garden as part of the landscape.
