About 40 people ran or walked the 3.4 miles across the Biloxi Bay Bridge, including Civitan International President Debbie Bruce-Juhlke of Round Rock, Texas, and Civitan International President-elect Duane Capps of Greensboro, N.C., who also brought various donations. Before the event, Future Business Leaders of America at St. Martin High School collected nearly 400 items to donate. Costumed runners were awarded for their creativity. Diana Odom of Ocean Springs received Most Hilarious Costume while Andrea Kormondy of Diamondhead received Most Original Costume. After the top turkeys received their run trophies and participant ribbons, the about 650 to 700 food items were delivered by club members and volunteers to The Lord is My Help in downtown Ocean Springs.
