Sun Herald Defensive Player of the Week: Resurrection DB Michael Gatschet

The Resurrection Catholic football team cruised to a 31-0 victory over Stringer Friday night with senior safety Michael Gatschet playing a big role on defense for the Eagles.

Gatschet had 12 tackles, two interceptions and a pair of tackles for lost yardage to help lead RCS to its eighth shutout win of the season.

"He had a good game," Resurrection coach Scott Sisson said. "He got his knee blown out last year and missed the second half of the season."

Gatschet has 68 tackles with six interceptions this season.
