Gautier High to dedicate stadium in honor of 2 educators

Gautier High School will name its football stadium in honor of a pair of of former administrators at the school, the Pascagoula School District announced Tuesday.

The stadium will be dedicated in honor of Elbert Vaughn, the school's first principal, and the late Paul Wallace, who served as an assistant principal at the school.

The stadium will be dedicated prior to Friday's home game against West Harrison.

"Gautier High School enjoyed a very successful beginning due to the leadership of Elbert Vaughn and Paul Wallace," Pascagoula Schools superintendent Wayne Rodolfich said in a press release. "Naming the Gautier High School football stadium in their honor is a very fitting tribute to these two wonderful educators who have had such a tremendous impact on the educators and the students of this community."
