Homeless accused in aluminum theft

PASCAGOULA - Two homeless people are in custody in connection with the theft of aluminum from Jamestown Metal on Chicot Road over the weekend, Police Lt. James DeShannon Massey said.

The suspects were identified as Jessie Duncan, 49, and Charles Reed, 42, who were each arrested on a charge of possession of stolen property. A third suspect, also believed to be homeless, still is being sought in the case. An estimated $1,200 in aluminum was taken from the business, which backed up to a wooded area, where the homeless suspects apparently lived.

The Sun Herald updates this story in Thursday's print edition.
