South MS woman dies in crash on Highway 613, authorities say
A woman died Wednesday night after a crash on Highway 613 in Jackson County, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said.
Troopers responded to the crash at about 7:15 p.m. The woman was driving north in a 2020 Toyota Highlander when it collided with a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado moving south, according to the Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash killed Lillian Byrd, 68, of Lucedale.
A 44-year-old man from Alabama who was driving the Chevrolet was injured and brought to a hospital.
The Highway Patrol said the crash is under investigation.
