Bicyclist, 19, in critical condition after crash in South MS, authorities say
A driver hit a bicyclist Tuesday night in Jackson County, hospitalizing the biker in critical condition, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said.
The driver hit the 19-year-old bicyclist on Highway 57 between Interstate 10 and Gautier-Vancleave Road, Highway Patrol Trooper Landon Orozco said. An ambulance brought the bicyclist to a hospital.
The 20-year-old driver stayed at the scene after the crash, Orozco said.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating what led to the collision and did not immediately release more information.
