Moss Point women dies in fatal crash in Jackson County

A Moss Point woman died Monday following fatal car accident in Jackson County.
The crash happened about 5:57 a.m. on Mississippi 63 in Jackson County, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said.
Troopers found a 2020 Ford F-250 traveling south had collided with a 2013 Hyundai Sonata traveling east, officials said.
The Ford was being driven by John Shoemake, 47 of Richton, Mississippi, and the Hyundai was being driven by Yvette Thomas, 56, of Moss Point. Thomas died at the scene from her injuries.
The crash is still under investigation by MHP.
