Pedestrian dies in hit-and-run on Interstate 10

An unidentified male pedestrian has been killed in a hit-and-run accident on eastbound Interstate 10 in Jackson County, the Mississippi Highway Patrol says.

Troopers were working to identify the deceased and the driver of the vehicle, a news release says. No additional details were released.

The collision happened around 6 a.m. Saturday near the Franklin Creek exit.
