Woman dies after being hit by truck while walking on unlit road, Jackson County sheriff says

A Biloxi woman has died after being hit by a car in St. Martin.

Heather Michelle Blair, 31, was hit by a truck shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff Mike Ezell said Thomas Reynolds, 27, of Biloxi was driving a Toyota Tundra pickup truck east on Lemoyne Boulevard.

Reynolds told police he moved into the left lane to pass a car and as he looked into his mirror to merge back into the right lane, he hit the woman with the left front of his truck.

Blair was wearing black clothes and was in a dark, unlit area of Lemoyne Boulevard, deputies said.

No charges were filed. The accident is under investigation and will be presented to a grand jury.
