Do you drive to Ocean Springs High? Don’t go this way for the next two days

Ocean Springs High School parents and students — heads up.

The CSX Railroad is closing a portion of Mississippi 57 between U.S. 90 and Ocean Springs High School for on Wednesday and Thursday, so parents need to reroute for pick up and drop off.

They will close the portion of Mississippi 57 at the tracks to all through traffic beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday.

The road will be closed to make improvements on the railroad and will reopen by noon on Friday, according to a spokeswoman for Jackson County.

All residents are asked to use alternative routes and detour around this area, the county asks.
