The Sheriff’s Office canceled a “be on the lookout” for a Gautier man after he called officials to say he was safe.
A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office said James Earl Woodward, 40, saw news reports and contacted the investigator on the case on Thursday.
Woodward told the investigator he was staying with a friend in Moss Point and would contact family members to assure them he was OK.
A relative reported Woodward missing on Wednesday after he’d gone missing for more than a week.
