Gulfport police said there's no cause for alarm if motorists notice emergency vehicles entering or leaving the Mississippi Power Company's Plant Watson today.
The Gulfport Police Department's SWAT team began a practice session at Plant Watson at 10:30 a.m. The practice will continue until 2 p.m. or 3 p.m.
Plant Watson is just south of Interstate 10 on Lorraine Road, also known as Mississippi 605.
Police Capt. Neal Stachura said passersby won't be able to see what the team is doing, but the presence of vehicles around the area could cause motorists to wonder if an emergency has occurred.
