The Biloxi Planning Commission voted unanimously this afternoon to table a request for a zoning variance to put a hotel at the corner of U.S. 90 and Benachi until after the developer goes before the city's Architectural and Historical Review Committee.
The commission heard from a representative for Fairfield Inn, who presented a plan to build a $12 million Fairfield Inn just east of the new Biloxi Visitors Center on U.S. 90.
The four-story, 84-room hotel would be located at U.S. 90 and Benachi, Architect Gerald Hopkins told the Planning Commission.
He also said only one bad tree would have to be cut down.
