Police clearing train-truck wreck at Rodenberg (Updated 9:38 a.m.)

At 8:49 a.m., Biloxi Police responded to a report of a wreck involving a train and a truck.

Police found that an eastbound train and southbound 2004 white Chevy Silverado collided at the train crossing on Rodenberg Avenue.

The train hit the truck in right rear, spinning it around and pinning it between the train and the crossing signal post on the southeast side of the tracks.

A female driver was conscious and semi-alert and taken to an area hospital. A tow truck is removing the truck from the scene.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area while police are clearing.

Veterans Avenue is open to traffic.
