Car-train collision kills one overnight

BILOXI – One man died after his car inched into the pathway of a train late Wednesday, police said.

Christyn King Gray, 19, of Biloxi, died from injuries received after he was ejected from his car, Sgt. John Campbell said.

Witnesses told police Gray stopped at the tracks crossing Querens Avenue near Porter Avenue about 9:20 p.m., but his car moved forward and was struck by the train. Campbell said the car slid down an embankment and Gray was ejected.

He died later at an area hospital.

There is no barricade at that intersection, Campbell said.
