A house that was set on fire last week caught fire again around 2 a.m. this morning, Gulfport Police Deputy Commander George Chaiz said.
Authorities, he said, are trying to determine whether the latest fire at the home on 20th Street near 15th Avenue was intentionally set once again.
The initial fire at the home, which spread to two others, causing heavy damage to them as well as several vehicles, was set sometime before 11 p.m. Thursday. Several people were in harm’s way during the blaze, but no injuries were reported.
Chaiz said the investigation into the fire Thursday as well as the one this morning is ongoing. Arson is suspected in the initial blaze Thursday.
