A judge has bound over to the grand jury the DUI death case against Darrell Blappert Jr. and refused to lower his $1 million bond.
Justice Court Judge Bruce Strong heard testimony that witnesses, including Blappert's passenger, said he was driving about 80 mph on Pass Road when he had an accident that killed DeAnna Tucker on March 29.
Gulfport Police Detective Michael Kamien said Blappert's blood alcohol level about two hours after the accident was 0.14, nearly two times the state limit of 0.08.
