Pensacola police have arrested a man who was listed last week as one of South Mississippi’s Most Wanted.
Paul Anthony Platacis, 44, was wanted for uttering a forgery and also was sought by officials in Kentucky for parole violation. He also is believed to have stolen the vehicle he was driving with Kentucky plates.
A warrant was issued Wednesday and on Thursday, Biloxi Police learned that Platacis was committing similar crimes in Florida. Pensacola and Biloxi law enforcement worked together and Platacis was arrested during a traffic stop Friday in Escambia County.
He is being held there pending extradition to Biloxi.
