Tommy McGee, 53, is the man identified as the victim of a homicide in Biloxi this morning, Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said.
Biloxi Police were called to break up a fight at a residence on James Buchanan Drive off Rodenberg Avenue at 7:08 a.m. and found the victim lying on the front yard with a stab wound to the chest, according to Sgt. Tim McKaig.
He was pronounced dead at Biloxi Regional Hospital less than an hour later.
Investigators are looking for a person of interest, John Mathis, in connection with the homicide. He is described by police as "a tall, thin black man with dread locks." Neighbors told police the man was at a New Year's Eve party at the residence.
