Police have arrested a man on a murder charge after a woman was found dead in her backyard late Monday night.
Officers found the woman after responding to a complaint of suspicious activity around 11:55 p.m. Monday in the 3100 block of 50th Avenue.
A police spokesman said officers took Kevin Crocker, 42, into custody this early this morning at his home in the 3900 block of Monterey Drive. He is held at the Harrison County jail under a $5 million bond set by Justice Court Judge Gene Dedeaux.
The woman's name is being withheld pending notification of relatives. Details have not been released on the cause of death.
