The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Biloxi River near Lyman.
The stage at Lyman was at 2.5 feet at 1 p.m. and minor flooding is forecast. The flood stage is 12 feet and the river is expected to rise above that by early Wednesday and crest at 15 feet by Wednesday afternoon.
Flooding is expected in the Retreat and Riverland Village subdivisions at the 16-foot stage.
Homes in the Lower Fisherman Trail are expected to remain flooded and Lower River Road will be impassible.

Forecasted crests are based on rainfall that has ocurred or will occur in the next 12 hours. Adjustments will be made if additional heavy rainfall occurs.
THe NWS advises motorists not to drive through flooded areas.
