A Hancock County man has been missing for 11 days, and his family and friends are asking for help with the search.
Jason Johnson, 33, was last seen on Aug. 24 at his home in the area of Road 274, off Mississippi 603. His next-door neighbor was the last person to see him, said family friend Ashley Ladner. Johnson’s wife reported him missing on Thursday.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office confirmed a missing person report was filed.
Johnson’s family and friends will launch a search for him at 7 a.m. Monday morning, Ladner said. They will stage in the area of his home on Road 274. Volunteers will need to sign in and form groups before heading out.
Anyone wishing to help can also call Ladner at 228-216-6966 or Johnson’s brother, Dwayne Johnson, at 228-669-5569.
“Anything anyone can bring would be appreciated. Water, anything. Anybody is welcome. If they have horses, they can bring them,” Ladner said. “Whatever can help at this point.”
