A missing Hancock County businessman isn’t considered missing any more, but he hasn’t exactly been found, Chief Deputy Don Bass said.
The wife of James Gill, who was last seen Monday morning, has reported he used his debit card in Mobile on Thursday night, Bass said.
“We consider him off on an adventure,” he said.
There apparently had been no activity on Gill’s debit card for four days until Thursday night.
“We have no reason to suspect foul play, and though he left home without his asthma medicine and other medications, he has the right to do that if that’s what he chooses to do,” Bass said.
Gill, 49, and his wife own Seafood & More in Bay St. Louis and C&K Waste Services in Pearl River, La. His wife reported she last saw him as he left their Bayside home to clean deep-fryers at their Bay St. Louis business, but he never showed up at the business.
He also left his cellphone at home, the missing-person report said.
