Hancock County Library System announces winners of Tree Gala
Ashman-Mollere Realty was voted as the Children's Choice tree at the Hancock County Library System's 21st annual Holiday Tree Gala, and Holy Trinity Catholic School was voted the People's Choice tree. Unabridged Architecture received the Judges' Choice ribbon.
Gulf Coast Women's Center for Nonviolence received first place in the Most Creative category, and Hancock County Library System Public Service placed second.
The Bay-Waveland Garden Club received the first-place ribbon in the Best Use of Color category, and the City of Bay St. Louis tree received the second-place ribbon.
In the Best Use of Theme category, the Hancock Resource Center placed first, and the St. Stanislaus NHS/JNHS placed second.
Holy Trinity Catholic School received the first-place ribbon in the Best Traditional category, while Sabic received second place.
The Best Nontraditional tree was won by The Peoples Bank, with Friends of the Animal Shelter receiving second place.
In the Best Traditional Tabletop category, A Stitch in Time won first place, and Bay St. Louis Rotary placed second. Flair at Bay Emporium won the first place ribbon in the Best Tabletop Non-Traditional category, while Girl Scout Troop 3438 received the second place ribbon.
The Krewe of Nereids received first place in the Best Tree Topper category, with The Arts, Hancock County receiving second.
The trees will be on display in the Bay St. Louis-Hancock County Library through Jan. 6.
