Bay St. Louis city clerk did not resign, mayor says
BAY ST. LOUIS -- City Clerk Robert Clark did not resign, Mayor Les Fillingame told the Sun Herald on Monday evening.
Other local media reported that Clark had resigned from his position after only a month of employment.
"That is not true," Fillingame said, explaining that Clark changed his full-time status to a part-time status.
Clark will be paid hourly instead of a set salary, and the city finance department is hiring a second person who will take on a share of Clark's duties, Fillingame said.
