Three teens killed in single-car accident in Hancock County
Three Diamondhead teens died in a single-vehicle crash Monday, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department.
Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam said the accident occurred Monday morning on Texas Flat Road.
The teens who died were identified as Jackson Aaron Rodriguez, 18, Jacob Isaiah Harper, 17, and Benjamin Kaden Gryner, 16.
The teens died after their pickup truck went off the road, crossed a ditch and went into the woods, authorities said.
All three teenagers died at the scene after two of them were ejected from the truck and one was trapped inside.
The crash remains under investigation.
Gryner, the youngest of the three, loved video games, basketball, anime and skiing, according to an obituary. He was born in Austin, Texas and lived in Idaho before moving to Diamondhead, where he was beloved by a circle of friends. He is survived by his parents, grandparents, two siblings and an aunt and uncles.
Gryner’s obituary said funeral service will be held Nov. 7 by Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis.
A GoFundMe page for funeral arrangements for Harper has raised over $2,000 so far.
