The U.S. Coast Guard rescued three men, one of whom is in critical critical condition, after the yacht they were on collided with a tug boat in the Mississippi Sound near Bay St. Louis, the New Orleans Heartland sector said in a press release.

Coast Guard members launched a boat from Gulfport on Wednesday after the Mobile sector received a report about the collision.

The tug boat was pulling two barges, the Coast Guard said in a release sent after 8 p.m. Wednesday.

One of the boaters on the yacht sustained serious injuries and was transported by emergency services to a hospital. The victim is listed in critical condition.

The other boaters were last reported to be in stable condition, the Coast Guard said.

The Coast Guard did not say what time the crash occurred.
