A man walked into Silver Slipper Casino Monday morning and told employees he “envisioned a bomb blowing up” inside of the casino, a sheriff’s official said.
Hancock County Chief Deputy Don Bass said the man told investigators that two women told him there was a bomb inside of a cellphone on the second floor of the casino in the Lakeshore community.
Then, the man said he had a vision of the casino blowing up and walked into the casino to and told someone, but he never actually made a bomb threat, Bass said.
Sheriff’s investigators worked quickly to review surveillance tapes and have not found any evidence of a bomb or the two women the man mentioned in an interview with deputies.
