A missing 81-year-old Diamondhead man was found alive and well after disappearing three weeks earlier.

But officials say the investigation of William Renfrow’s disappearance continues because there’s questions they want answered.

Renfrow, who disappeared July 29, has a medical condition that may impair his judgment, according to investigators who tried to find him.

A Biloxi police investigator had reported Renfrow was seen Aug. 16 at a bank in Metairie, La., but Renfrow wasn’t in his personal vehicle.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert two days later.

The Silver Alert was canceled Monday after Renfrow was found in Louisiana, Hancock County Chief Deputy Don Bass said Friday.

“The Silver Alert was a big help, I’m sure,” Bass said.

Several law enforcement agencies have worked on the case, he said.

SunHerald.com will update this report when officials provide an update.
