GEORGE COUNTY -- A Texas man on probation on a federal drug conviction has been found in George County with cocaine having an estimated street value of about $10,000, Sheriff Keith Havard said.
A deputy conducting a traffic stop about 5:30 p.m. Thursday pulled over a 2016 Chrysler 200 on U.S. 98 found the driver, Jeffrey Curry Jr., in possession of about 250 grams of cocaine, Havard said.
Deputies arrested Curry, 41, of Dallas, on an aggravated trafficking charge.
Curry was jailed on a $50,000 bond but will likely be held with no bond pending an appearance in federal court.
